Watch out for a surprise cameo from someone you wouldn’t expect in a Rajini film. Radhika Apte is apt in her role as is Dhansika. Ranjith’s Dalit politics take a backseat here.

The aged star with heavy makeup trying to act as a 30 year old is cringe-worthy. For someone who in real life has shied away from any responsibility, has acted without any consistency in politics, a person who has never stood up to his beliefs (he appreciated Jayalalitha getting out of prison for the case that he railed against her in ’96!), Rajinikanth again doing the act of the mass leader and people’s savior is laughable.
